“Rainy days and Mondays always get me down,” Karen Carpenter once sang. This particular Monday isn’t rainy, but it’s getting us down because it’s such a sad anniversary: On this date in 1983, Ms. Carpenter passed away. Thirty years later, we still miss that voice:

You never know what you’ll find in our room journals. A young guest, upon visiting Room 211 — our fabulous Campbell Couture room — recently issued the following decree:

“I am Jaicee’s little sister, and only princesses can stay in this room, so if you’re not a princess, then get out!”

You can see how she might feel that way after seeing this lavishly decorated room, right?

With chandeliers in both the bedroom and bathroom, clever trompe l’oeil paintings on the walls and floor, and a comfy bed piled high with mountains of stylish pillows, the Campbell Couture room is, indeed, a room fit for a princess — but don’t worry: We’ll check you in even if you’ve forgotten your tiara and official princess ID badge.

Just don’t rat us out to Jaicee’s little sister. ;)

If you’d like to spend a night or a weekend being treated like royalty, give us a call at (918) 744-5500 or visit www.thecampbellhotel.com to book your room today!

We promised we’d find somebody to entertain you Friday evening at The Campbell Lounge, and we have!

Tulsa jazz singer Cynthia Simmons and pianist Mike Leland will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 1, at The Campbell Lounge, conveniently located in the lobby here at The Campbell Hotel.

Ms. Simmons, a mother of two teens and a human resources professional by day, has performed at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, Ciao and other local venues and is recognized as an up-and-coming vocalist in the Tulsa jazz community.

Mr. Leland spent many years as pianist for the late Tulsa saxophonist Earl Clark.

Come hear them Friday!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Desi and Cody will be unable to play at The Campbell Lounge this Friday, Feb. 1, as originally planned — but don’t change your plans just yet. We are working to line up another terrific Tulsa music act for that evening.

Stay tuned; we’ll have details for you just as soon as we know them. In the meantime, we apologize for the inconvenience.
