Tasteful way to give back

Tulsa Community College’s west campus at 7505 W. 41st St. is holding a pair of fundraisers this week to raise money for the United Way.

The first, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, is a silent auction in the Information Commons lobby, located in the middle building. Items — which include restaurant gift cards, ballet tickets, store gift cards, hotel stays (including a couple of Campbell Hotel gift certificates!) and more — will be on display beginning today for prospective bidders to see.

The second fundraiser, which¬†will be held from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Student Union Gallery, is a chili cookoff. For $5, you can buy chili, chips and a drink. If you’ll be in the area, this is a quick way to get an inexpensive lunch while supporting the area’s many United Way agencies.

Both events are open to the public. Similar activities will be taking place at TCC’s other campuses; for information about events at all campuses, please call TCC’s Help Desk at (918) 595-7000.
