If you’re looking for a way to reduce expenses — and aren’t we all? — you might want to make plans to be at the Campbell Event Center on Thursday evening, when Sarah Roe, better known as the Money Saving Queen, leads a couponing boot camp to show shoppers how to make a big difference in their grocery bills.
“People will learn how to save up to 80 percent on their grocery bills,” said Roe, who has been couponing for seven years.
Roe, who shares money-saving tips on Facebook; Twitter; her Web site, moneysavingqueen.com; and on Channel 6 every morning at 6:45 and 8:45 a.m., will teach shoppers to cut their monthly grocery bills by $300 or more.
“It’s pretty good savings. It’s a big deal,” Roe said. “It’s not anything hard. It’s not weird — you don’t have to sell your children or anything.”
Participants can register for the workshop online at http://moneysavingqueen.com or just sign up at the door. Cost is $7. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Campbell Event Center, 2636 E. 11th St.
